Mahama Is Selling Political Positions to Raise Funds for Campaign - Nana B Alleges

National Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B has posited that the unrest within the opposition National Democratic Congress over appointments is attributed to the former President and flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama who has put up the ministerial appointments for sale in order to raise funds for his campaign.

Nana B alleges that, former President John Mahama, in his quest to gather financial resources for his campaign, opens up various ministerial portfolios for bidding.

In a radio interview on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, Nana B expounded that, "John Mahama is the one sharing the post for fundraising. He tells people to bring certain amounts of money for an allotted ministerial position. He is using the appointments for a fundraising. He has shared the post already and is even doing reshuffle for anyone who delays with his or her money."

Nana B’s comment follows a recent admonishment issued by the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, where he told some members of the party to stop fighting for political positions till the election is won.

However, Nana B stated that, if there is anyone to advice, it should be the flagbearer of the NDC.

"Mahama is the cause of the fight over appointments in the NDC. He needs money for his campaign so if you want to be made minister, then you would have to pay for it, which has resulted in the fight within the party," he alleged.

Nana B proffered that, the fights erupting within the NDC is the basis for corruption.

"It is nauseating to hear the NDC talk about corruption. The NDC superintended over wanton stealing that left the country in an economic despair.

"NDC and Mahama stole from the destitute, they stole from the poor just to facilitate their campaign and they have the right to talk about corruption?", Nana B quizzed.
